J.D. (Jim) Urish is a commercial airline pilot. He created 'The Adventures of Rex Bolton' to share his love of flying with children. The stories incorporate factual information about aviation and different destinations around the world.
As a captain for a major U.S. airline, he often welcomes kids to his cockpit before departure. In the past, he has flown many types of airplanes including commercial airliners such as the Boeing 727,737, and 777. Currently he flies the Airbus 320.
A portion of all proceeds from the sale of 'The Adventures of Rex Bolton' is donated to the Pilots for Kids Organization.
